Shlomi Amsalem is a freelance photographer. He provides photography for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister's Office and the Government Press Office, and accompanies and documents activities and conventions for the Mandel Leadership Institute, the Mandel School for Educational Leadership and the Mandel Graduate Unit at the Mandel Foundation–Israel.
In the past he was a partner and manager of photography shops in Jerusalem. He is a graduate of the high school of the College of Management in Jerusalem, and of courses by the Israel Association of Community Centers in mediation, journalism and community leadership in education. Shlomi is involved in community work: he formerly chaired the education–community administration forum in the Gilo neighbourhood of Jerusalem, and served as a board member and comptroller of the "Na Laga'at" (Please Touch) NPO — a culture centre for blind and deaf people in Jaffa.
His exhibition "My Jerusalem" was shown at the opera house in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, celebrating Israel's 69th Independence Day, and in November 2017 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.
