Accessibility Statement

shlomiamsalem.co.il (the "Site") is the personal website and online store of documentary photographer Shlomi Amsalem. This statement describes the Site's accessibility arrangements and how to contact us about them.

1. Our Commitment

We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to browse the Site, explore its content and make a purchase independently, on equal terms and with dignity. We keep working to improve the Site's accessibility.

2. Standard and Level

We make accessibility adjustments to the Site under Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, 5773-2013, Division C (Internet Services), and under Israeli Standard SI 5568 (guidelines for web content accessibility), at level AA. SI 5568 is based on the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

As of the date of this statement, the Site is partially accessible, and we are continuing to work on the remaining adjustments. The limitations we know of are listed in section 4.

3. What We Have Done

You can navigate the Site using the keyboard, without a mouse.

The content language and page direction follow the language you select: Hebrew reads right to left and English left to right. This helps screen readers present the content correctly.

The animation at the top of the home page has a pause button, and the Site respects the "reduce motion" (prefers-reduced-motion) setting in your browser or operating system.

Most images on the Site have alternative text.

The Site has an accessibility widget that lets you adjust the display. The widget is an extra aid and does not replace the accessibility built into the Site.

4. Known Limitations

Some photographs on the Site do not yet have a full text description, and we are adding these gradually. You can contact us to ask for a text description of a specific photograph, and we will try to provide it as soon as possible.

Despite our efforts, other parts of the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Please let us know if you find any.

5. Third-Party Content and Services

Payments are made on a secure payment page operated by Cardcom, not by us, and Cardcom is responsible for that page's accessibility. If you have trouble using the payment page, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

6. Physical Accessibility

The business has no premises open to the public. Self-pickup of orders is by prior arrangement. When arranging it, you can tell us about any special needs and we will try to accommodate them.

7. Reporting an Accessibility Problem

If you run into an accessibility problem on the Site, or need an adjustment or information in an accessible format, please contact our accessibility coordinator by phone or email, or use the contact form on the Site.

To help us deal with your request efficiently, please tell us what the problem is, the address of the page where it happened, which browser and operating system you were using, and any assistive technology you use.

We will look into every request and deal with it as soon as possible. Until the problem is fixed, we will try to offer you another way to get the information or service.
