Cancellation Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy applies to purchases made on shlomiamsalem.co.il from Shlomi Amsalem, trading as א.שלומי צילום והפקות (A. Shlomi Photography and Productions), business (Osek) no. 059844639. It follows the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, including sections 14C, 14E and 14I, and the regulations made under it, and does not limit any right a consumer has under law.

1. Your right to cancel

You may cancel your purchase of the book from the day you place the order until 14 days after you receive the book or the document setting out the transaction details (the order confirmation sent by email), whichever is later.

Senior citizens, persons with disabilities and new immigrants, as defined by law, may be entitled to a four-month cancellation period under the conditions set out in section 14C1 of the law.

2. How to cancel

You can give notice of cancellation by email to shlomiamsalem19@gmail.com, by phone at +972-52-851-8478, through the contact form on the site, or by registered mail using the contact details on the contact page. An email counts as written notice.

Your notice must include your full name and ID number, as the law requires. To speed things up, please also include your order number, or the email address and phone number you used when ordering.

3. Cancellation fee

If you cancel for any reason other than a defect, a non-conformity, failure to deliver on time or another breach by the seller, a cancellation fee of 5% of the price of the book or books cancelled, or ILS 100, whichever is lower, will be deducted. For example, if you cancel the purchase of one book priced at ILS 249, the fee will not exceed ILS 12.45.

The cancellation fee includes any shipping and packaging costs; nothing further will be deducted.

4. Refund

Within 14 days of receipt of your cancellation notice, the charge will be cancelled and the amount you paid, less any applicable cancellation fee, will be refunded to the payment method used for the purchase, and you will receive a copy of the charge-cancellation notice. When the credit appears on your statement depends on your card issuer.

5. Returning the book

Please return the book in the condition in which you received it, unused and undamaged, in its original packaging where possible. Opening the packaging to inspect the book does not affect your right to cancel.

For an ordinary cancellation, the book is returned to the seller's place of business by prior arrangement. You may also, by arrangement, send it by registered mail or courier at your own expense. If the book's condition has significantly deteriorated, the seller may claim compensation as permitted by law.

6. Defects, non-conformity or late delivery

If the book arrives defective, does not match your order, or is not delivered by the date set, you may cancel with no cancellation fee and receive a full refund, including shipping, within 14 days of the seller's receipt of your notice.

In that case, keep the book available to the seller at the place where it was delivered, and the seller will collect it by arrangement and at the seller's expense. Instead of cancelling, you may also ask to replace the book with an undamaged copy, subject to availability.

7. Books with a personal dedication

Under the law, the right to cancel does not apply to goods made specifically for the consumer following the transaction. A book inscribed with a personal dedication at your request may be considered such goods, so once the dedication has been written, the right to cancel may not apply.

A cancellation notice received before the dedication is written will be handled as an ordinary cancellation. In any case, this does not affect your rights in the event of a defect, non-conformity or late delivery.

8. Institutional orders

Orders from governments, embassies, organisations and institutions that are handled against a purchase order and invoice are subject to the cancellation terms set in the quote, the purchase order or the agreement between the parties. Where the buyer is a consumer as defined by law, the provisions of the law apply in any event.
